Producing videos and broadcasts

We produce high quality content with high level speakers and climate advocates from all over the world, participating though video link since before the pandemic, and we are attracting viewers from over 140 countries including politicians, business leaders and climate conscious people.

We don't do ordinary tv broadcasts or commercials. Instead, our main channel is social media where we often have just a few seconds to catch the viewer, so every second counts.

Many people already know of our broadcasts and we might catch them if they understand that this is yet another high quality production from us.

Stick to our general guidelines:

  • Graphics should be bold enough to be easily understood on a standing mobile device.
  • Nameplates and bumpers should be visible often and long enough to catch many viewers.
  • The viewer should easily understand this is a We Don’t Have Time video and they will do that when they see our backdrop, our text styles, our three symbols for climate love, climate idea or climate warning, our bumpers or nameplates.
  • Broadcast in 1080P at 50 fps (but assets can be made in 25 fps). Broadcasts based out of the US are an exception as 29.97/30 fps assets will be best.

We have two main program formats; live shows with Zoom participant and pre-recorded shows done with Riverside or other tools.

Filming in a studio and online

Most of our guests participate online through Zoom rather than joining the studio. But we won't settle for a broadcast that looks like a dull online meeting. Instead we do everything we can to make their appearance as professional as possible.

Most times we've sent green screens to our speakers in advance, together with an image to use as backdrop and information on how to setup light and microphone in the best possible way. So now it is up to the production team to make the best out of this.

When setting up the studio, always test with real Zoom participants to make sure everything goes smooth.

The chosen backdrop is to be used both as background for online speakers and as a backdrop in the studio. The backdrop is in 4k 16:9 and might need to be customized to fit the studio. Ideally the earth in the backdrop should be a little bit higher than the speakers on stage.
Broadcast logo overlay. Our logo to be visible on all our broadcasts, on top of the video layer from the cameras, speaker intros and segment intros, but beneath video layers with bumbers, program intro and program outro. For some broadcasts we use special broadcast logo overlays with other sets of logos and if so you will get this information from our crew.
