Act On Climate Now - Don't Choose Extinction

A panel discussion from SXSW 2022 with the creatives behind the #DontChooseExtinction campaign

We Don't Have Time
UNDP

#DontChooseExtinction: SXSW Edition

Our governments currently spend more than $5 trillion per year supporting fossil fuels. This nonsensical subsidizing of oil, gas and coal is unnecessarily destroying our planet when we have better, cleaner options available to us today. So how do we get our leaders to listen and understand that we must end the subsidies that have led us into our current 6th mass extinction?

We are proud to present a conversation from SXSW 2022 between the world's largest climate action review platform, We Don't Have Time, and the creatives behind #dontchooseextinction—the campaign that urges world leaders to end all fossil fuel subsidies. Hear from Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (a.k.a Jamie Lannister), Dr. Sweta Chakraborty, Boaz Paldi, and Mik Thobo-Carlsen. Learn about how UNDP came up with the idea for the #dontchooseextinction campaign, and listen to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau talk about being the voice for Frankie the Dino.
