How can I contribute, in a meaningful way, to reduce the negative effects of a rapidly changing climate? Magnus Karlsson, the co-founder and CEO of Exeri, found himself trying to answer this question 10 years ago – not just as an engineer, but as a father, husband, and passionate skier whose home is the fragile arctic region of northern Sweden. Tasked with developing complex telecom and military systems at Ericsson, he knew that the backbone of modern society – our electric grid – was not prepared for a future we would certainly face. And thus, Exeri’s Smart Grid Surveillance was designed – a universally adoptable intelligent system for the world’s electric grids that utilizes AI and comprehensive situational awareness to distil complex data into actionable information. Magnus and his co-founders, with a combined 50 years of engineering experience, developed the technology necessary to ensure that electric grids will not hinder our progress in our fight to save the planet. And hopefully, will let him keep his promise to his daughter that they will continue to ski together each winter in the Swedish arctic they call home. The problem is global and so Exeri’s solution. Through its SGS system, they enable the renewable energy transition of tomorrow, today.
