London Climate Action Week — Tracking the Transition

We Don't Have Time broadcast hub

Join our broadcasts from London Climate Action Week as we continue tracking and amplifying the global climate transition. Take part in the latest discussions on electrification, energy efficiency, the just and equitable transition, exponential climate solutions, and the science driving this transformation.

The First Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels was hosted by Colombia and the Netherlands. It marked a major new moment in international climate diplomacy since the Paris Agreement. The journey now continues across the ocean toward Tuvalu in 2027. Under Pacific leadership, representing some of the world’s most dedicated and climate-vulnerable nations, the work will continue with a strong focus on implementation, integrity, accountability and transparency.

During London Climate Action Week, We Don’t Have Time will follow up on this important event and help keep the momentum growing by tracking developments, amplifying solutions, and expanding the impact for the global coalition for a just transition away from fossil fuels.

15:00 BST / 16:00 CEST — The Real Economy Launch

Join us for the launch of the new platform, The Real Economy, hosted at Right Livelihood's office in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 3. Hear about their ongoing projects and meet the founders. Helena Norberg-Hodge will be visiting Sweden and giving a talk at this event.

We believe that one of the prominent aspects of society which stands between us and a more peaceful and just world are the ideas of separation that underpin our global economic system. We are launching The Real Economy to highlight, inspire and envision a different path forward where economics is based on seeing ourselves as part of a web of life, not separate from it. Come, hear more and connect with us.

17:00 BST / 18:00 CEST — Climate Proofing Britain: Nature's Role

Great Britain is already today experiencing the growing impacts of climate change, with more frequent and severe heatwaves, increased flooding, and water shortages. This raises the need for climate mitigation and adaptation. What role can nature restoration and conservation play in making the UK more resilient to climate shocks? In this session, experts will examine how to climate proof Britain through the lens of biodiversity and ecosystem restoration.

16:30 BST / 17:30 CEST — ISDS vs. The Climate: Removing barriers to a just transition

At the Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuel conference in Santa Marta, Colombia, earlier in April, Investor-State Dispute Settlements entered the international climate discussions for the first time. This little-known but powerful legal mechanism is one of the structural barriers that lock countries into fossil fuel dependence. How do global finance structures and legal frameworks limit policy space, reinforce inequality, and shape whose transitions are supported and whose are blocked? Join this conversation as we look at what’s holding us back and explore the structural changes needed for a truly just transition.
